His new, fully self-produced, ultra-secret album, Terrified – which takes inspiration from Dante’s “Inferno” and features live guitar – is scheduled for spring 2026. Over dinner, he talks about “designing” music in the same way as an architect envisages a house or a creative director finalises a runway collection. “All the music has been made in England,” he says. “I’m engineering the entire album, which means everything from the rhythm to the lyrics, vocal melody and sound design.”
