Ten album dał nam utwór "Shook ones pt II" czyli rapowy evergreen i choćby dla tego warto sprawdzić. Jest to jeden z klasyków hardcore rapu. Bardzo stylowo krążek zamyka "Party over".

"To deny this album is to deny what America did to the ghettoes of its own country in the late '80s, and turn your back on the harsh truth of inner city life. A great accompaniment to this album is David Simon's "The Corner". Taking the year off in 1993 to roam the streets of Baltimore at Fayette & Monroe, the book reveals in startling detail just how real the stories of certain rap artists are.".

I jak słuchałem chłopaków z Mobb Deep, mając przed oczami twórczość Davida Simona - głównie tę serialową i jednak bardziej "The Wire" niż "The Corner" - to w głowie od razu tworzyły się gotowe teledyski z Omarem czy Avonem. Twardziele jednak twardzielami, ale gdy płyta zmierza ku końcowi i wjeżdża w końcu wers: "‘Cause ain't no such things as halfway crooks" - to wjeżdża cała plejada wanna-bes z Namondem na czele.

24 kwietnia wyszło The Infamous 25th Anniversary Expanded Edition wzbogacone o 4 mocne numery nagrane podczas sesji The Infamous, m.in. pierwsza część Shook Ones. A tutaj jeszcze świeżutki wywiad z Havociem. Polecam.
